Dark Chisme

**Dark Chisme** is a killer Seattle-based dark wave duo made up of Chicago-raised Latina DJ and producer Christine Gutierrez on vocals and synths, and multi-instrumentalist E on bass and synths. They blend dark wave vibes with house, techno, and Latin flavors for a dark, danceable sound that's already turning heads—think intense hooks from punk and metal mixed into electro grooves that Gutierrez dreamed up partly to DJ herself.

Formed just about a year ago, they've dropped a self-titled debut album in 2024 packed with bangers like "Move," "Fangs," and "Yo Puedo Vivir Sin Ti," plus recent releases such as "Desire My Soul," "Lost in the Night," and their cover of "Lucretia My Reflection." Gutierrez's big personality shines through her vocals, drawing from her roots in black metal, indie electronic, and goth scenes in Chicago, where alt music became her lifeline amid tough times—now they're all about celebrating community, especially in QTBIPOC and goth circles, with live shows that steal the spotlight at fests like Terminus.
