Escher's Knot

Escher's Knot is a technical metal band from Chennai, India, formed in July 2009. The band originally consisted of members from various musical backgrounds, including Theorized, IIIrd Sovereign, Blood and Iron, and Ston'd. Their music is influenced by bands like Tool, Textures, and Decapitated, blending technical riffing, heavy bass lines, and intense vocals. They have had notable performances, including opening for Hammerfall and Lacuna Coil in 2010. Their debut EP, "Tessellations," was released in 2010. Over time, the band has undergone changes and is now based in Bangalore.

The band's lineup has included notable musicians such as Siddhartha Ramanathan on guitars since 2012 and Manu Krishnan on drums since the band's inception. Manu Krishnan is also known for his work with other bands and his background in Carnatic music. Despite their early success, including winning several music competitions, detailed information about their recent activities and releases beyond "Tessellations" is limited.
