North Mississippi Allstars

The North Mississippi Allstars is an American southern rock/blues band that was formed in 1996 by brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson. The sons of the legendary Memphis producer and musician Jim Dickinson, they grew up surrounded by music and were heavily influenced by the region's rich musical legacy, particularly the blues. The band's signature sound blends traditional blues rhythms and instruments with a modern, gritty rock edge, and they are known for their lively and improvisational live performances.

The North Mississippi Allstars have earned a reputation for being torchbearers of the Mississippi hill country blues tradition. Their discography is a testament to their evolution as artists and their dedication to keeping the blues alive for new generations. Among their most recent releases, the album "Up and Rolling" stands out as a homage to the sounds and artists that have shaped them, with collaborations that include notable talents like Son Little and Valerie June. Tracks such as "Set Sail" and "Mean Old World" display their ability to craft songs that are both respectful of the blues tradition and forward-looking in their production and arrangement. Throughout their career, North Mississippi Allstars has remained committed to musical innovation while honoring their deep southern roots.
