Kispál és a Borz

Kispál és a Borz was an influential Hungarian alternative rock band formed in Pécs in 1987. The band's core lineup consisted of András Kispál (guitarist and primary songwriter), András Lovasi (vocalist and bassist), Gábor Bräutigam (keyboardist), and Gábor Leskovics (drummer). They are regarded as one of the most significant and groundbreaking acts in the Hungarian music scene, melding rock with funk, jazz, and blues influences, as well as incorporating Hungarian musical traditions.

Over the years, Kispál és a Borz established a dedicated fan base with their quirky lyrics, catchy melodies, and dynamic live performances. The band's creative output includes a number of critically acclaimed albums and hit singles that left a lasting impact on Hungarian pop culture. Notable songs include "Ha az életben," "A Szerelem," and "Akkor Szakítsunk." Despite their disbandment in 2010, their music remains popular, and they periodically reunite for special performances, including their memorable farewell concert "Napozz Holddal" which was later released for fans. The band's legacy endures through these recordings and the ongoing impact they've had on Hungarian music.
