Elle Melle

Elle Melle is a Norwegian pop band formed in Stavanger in 1994, originally starting as a trio with Odd Erik Ognedal, Per Zanussi, and Henning Seldal before expanding to include Jon Konrad Strøm and Svein Olav Hyttebakk. They gained early recognition with their 1996 debut album *Ut I År* and became a staple on Norwegian radio, earning the Prøysenprisen award in 2000 and multiple Norsktoppen chart-toppers like *Frokost På Kafé* and *Ikkje Vekk Meg Når Du Går*. Their music—often blending heartfelt lyrics with melodic pop—includes standout tracks like *Himmelhøge sti*, which became a popular choice for Norwegian funerals, and recent albums like *Røvar* (2019) and *Californian Mornin’* (2022), featuring English translations of their catalog. The band remains active, releasing singles like *Du e det perlaste for meg* in 2023.
