Runaround Kids

**Runaround Kids** were a Leeds-based indie-punk trio known for their scrappy energy, DIY ethos, and hook-driven anthems. Active in the late 2000s/early 2010s, they blended jangly guitars, shout-along choruses, and introspective lyrics about youth, restlessness, and everyday chaos. Their sound channeled the raw spirit of bands like Los Campesinos! or Johnny Foreigner, with releases like *Teeth Blue, Lips Red* and split EPs (including *Runaround Kids vs. We Are Losers*) cementing their cult following in the UK’s underground scene. Though they called it quits around 2013, their fizzy, heartfelt tracks—like the bittersweet *Kiss Chase* or the cathartic *No Dreams*—remain a time capsule of DIY indie’s scrappy charm.
