Sons of Sevilla are brothers Henry and Reuben Smith from Featherstone in the North of England who came together musically during the 2020 lockdown. What started as a casual collaboration quickly blossomed into a full creative partnership as they spent a summer writing and recording inspired by the retro sounds they grew up listening to in their family's pub and their fond memories of summers spent in Sevilla, Spain—a city their name pays homage to. Their music blends psychedelic soul and vintage-inspired melodies, drawing influences from artists like JJ Cale and Neil Young, and aims to transport listeners somewhere timeless and evocative rather than being tied to their English roots.
After relocating between the mountains of Andalucia and their hometown, the duo released their debut album and have been working with Grammy-winning producer Adrian Quesada (Black Pumas) in Austin, Texas, for their follow-up, which features notable guests such as Geoff Mann and Marcos Garcia. Their sound is a colorful mix of soulful grooves, dreamy vibes, and atmospheric instrumentals that feel equally at home under Spanish orange trees or in a sun-dappled retro reverie. With releases like *Street Light Moon* and *All The While*, Sons of Sevilla are carving out a unique niche that merges their heritage with a global, timeless soundscape.
