Bernardo Izaguirre, known by his stage name Berna Jam, is a Cuban-born musician, producer, DJ, and remix master with a rich background in various musical genres including Cuban music, hip-hop, house, pop, rock, Latino, tropical, and reggaeton. He was born in Havana and completed his formal music education at the Gerardo Guanche Conservatory in Guanabacoa, where he studied bass as well as guitar, piano, drums, and Cuban percussion. Berna Jam played in several bands across jazz, pop, funk, and salsa styles in Cuba before relocating to Italy in 1994. There, he initially continued performing as a musician but soon shifted his focus to remixing and DJing, quickly becoming renowned for transforming hip-hop, rock, and funk tracks with a distinctive Cuban beat, gaining popularity in Italian clubs and across Europe.
Berna Jam has earned the nickname "The King of Remix" for his innovative approach and has released numerous tracks and albums blending Latin rhythms with contemporary urban sounds. Some of his notable releases include the album *Timba pa' la Disco* featuring songs like "La Cuenta," "Ámame Quiéreme," and "Rumberito." He has produced hits for other artists and remains active as a producer, songwriter, and mixing engineer, currently based in Miami. His work stands out for its vibrant fusion of traditional Cuban music with modern beats, making him a unique figure in the Latin and global music scenes.
