Caelestra

Caelestra is a one-man music project from Bristol, UK, created by Frank Harper, who is also known for his work as the guitarist and vocalist of Fever Sea. Caelestra combines elements of post-metal, black metal, and progressive metal, often incorporating 80's sci-fi synthesizers into their sound. This unique blend is reminiscent of artists like Devin Townsend, Ihsahn, and Opeth. Caelestra's music is characterized by its soaring and atmospheric qualities, making it appealing to fans of complex and emotionally charged metal genres.

Caelestra's second album, *Bastion*, released in December 2024, showcases this blend of styles with tracks like "Halcyon" and "The Hollow Altar," which feature a mix of harsh and clean vocals, along with intricate instrumental arrangements. The project's music often explores themes of personal struggle and introspection, as seen in the inspiration behind *Bastion*, which was influenced by Harper's experiences with his wife's health challenges.
