Marcin Czubala

Marcin Czubala is a highly respected electronic music producer and DJ from Poznan, Poland, celebrated for his distinctive take on house and techno. What sets him apart from many of his peers is a deep background in classical music—he performed over 300 concerts, including appearances at the Nantes Festival and Warsaw Autumn, and even collaborated with experimental music icon Krzysztof Penderecki before moving into electronic music after graduating from music school in 1995. By 1999, Czubala had already founded Poland’s first techno label, Currently Processing, and developed a sound that blends minimal house, techno, and experimental electronic influences, marked by quirky, hypnotic grooves that never fail to surprise listeners.

Prolific in the studio and on the decks, Czubala’s catalog features numerous EPs and singles for labels like mobilee, Neu Heimat, and Morris Audio. Tracks like “Zoo Comunale” and “Stay Close” highlight his knack for infectious rhythms and unexpected twists, all while maintaining the signature elegance that comes from his classical training. Czubala remains a staple in the international electronic scene, both as a remixer and a live performer, with a reputation for crafting music that’s as intricate as it is danceable.
