Reinhard Latzko is a highly accomplished and versatile cellist born in Freising, near Munich. He studied with renowned teachers Jan Polasek, Martin Ostertag, and Heinrich Schiff. Latzko has an extensive performing career, having been the solo cellist of the Südwestfunk Symphony Orchestra from 1987 to 2003 under conductor Michael Gielen. He is recognized not only for his solo and chamber music performances but also for his role as a dedicated cello teacher and music communicator. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable artists such as Markus Schirmer and Christian Tetzlaff and has performed in prestigious concert halls worldwide, including the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, and the Philharmonie in Berlin. Latzko is also the artistic director of the chamber music festival "con anima" in Ernstbrunn, further underscoring his deep commitment to the classical music scene.
