Siala is an Australian artist whose music is shaped by raw, personal experiences growing up on the North Coast of New South Wales. Her journey into songwriting began after a traumatic event—as a 15-year-old, she fought back against her mother’s abuser and channeled those emotions into her first song, discovering music as a way to process pain, isolation, and eventually find closure. Influenced by bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and PJ Harvey, and later drawn to hip-hop, R&B, and jazz, Siala’s sound blends fierce rap with vulnerable R&B and pop, reflecting both the intensity and honesty of her life story.
After navigating group homes during her teen years, Siala signed with EMI Australia and released her debut EP, Drowned Surface, in 2022, before taking a break from the spotlight. Now making a comeback in 2025, she’s working on new music rooted in family reconnection and creative collaboration with producer Ethan Parodi, promising unflinching, emotionally charged tracks for the year ahead. Her recent releases, including collaborations like “4K” (feat. Siala & Dean Brady), showcase her evolving style and willingness to share her truth through music.
