Houari Dauphin (also known as Houari Siouani) is an Algerian raï singer who began performing at age 15 in restaurants and weddings, quickly gaining local popularity in his hometown of Oran and beyond. His 1996 debut album *Ya lemouima khelini n'rouh* launched him to success, leading to over 40 releases and international tours. Known for merging traditional raï with modern influences, he’s collaborated with artists like L’Algerino on *Alger by Night* and Amine La Colombe on tracks like *Win Kan 3akli Win* and *Denia Dawara*, blending Arabic melodies with electronic beats and rap. While some sources cite his birth year as the 1970s, others note May 10, 1977 (though discrepancies exist), and his career remains anchored in Oran’s vibrant music scene.
