Nicola

Nicola, whose real name is Nicoleta Alexandru, is a prominent Romanian singer known for her pop career and electrifying stage presence. She began her solo journey in 1992, quickly making waves with frequent performances on television, radio, and at major live events. Nicola gained wider recognition in 2003 when she represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest with “Don’t Break My Heart,” finishing 10th in the finals. That same year, she released the compilation album *Best Of Nicola*, which went platinum, and took home several awards including “Woman of the Year” from Avantaje magazine and “Best Female” at the TV K Lumea awards.

Throughout her career, Nicola has consistently delivered chart-topping hits, notable among them “De mă vei chema” and “Doar noi doi.” She has also been celebrated at industry events, winning “Best Female” at the 2005 MTV Romania Music Awards. Nicola’s musical style is marked by catchy melodies and accessible lyrics, making her a favorite among Romanian audiences. She was married to composer and producer Mihai Alexandru for 15 years, and their professional collaboration shaped much of her early success.
