Babo Moreno is the musical project of Fabio De Oliveira, a talented British-Brazilian drummer and percussionist based in London. As the son of the legendary percussionist Bosco De Oliveira, founder of the London School of Samba, Fabio carries a deep Brazilian musical heritage that he skillfully blends with UK jazz influences. His self-titled debut album is a vibrant fusion of jazz with Brazilian rhythms like Forró, Ijexá, and Maracatu, expressing his dual identity and experiences growing up between London and Brazil. The album features collaborations with top-tier musicians from the jazz and world music scenes and has earned acclaim across UK jazz platforms such as BBC 6 Music, Jazz FM, and NTS.
