Exodus

Exodus is an American thrash metal band formed in 1979 in Richmond, California. Pioneers in the thrash metal scene, Exodus have carved out a legacy with their aggressive guitar riffs, complex bass lines, and relentless drumming that grabbed the attention of heavy metal enthusiasts globally. After a series of demos, their groundbreaking debut album, "Bonded by Blood" (1985), established them as a formidable force in the burgeoning thrash metal movement alongside Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth.

Over the years, Exodus has undergone numerous lineup changes, with guitarist Gary Holt remaining the constant driving force behind the band's relentless sound. Their discography is a testament to their evolution and staying power in the metal genre, with notable releases like "Fabulous Disaster" (1989), "Tempo of the Damned" (2004), and "Blood In, Blood Out" (2014). The band's most recent studio album, "Persona Non Grata" (2021), showcases their ability to deliver punishing thrash anthems while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of their sound. Despite periods of inactivity and the tragic loss of original vocalist Paul Baloff in 2002, Exodus continues to be a leading influence in heavy metal, testament to their resilience and unwavering commitment to thrash. Their live performances are famous for their intensity and have been captured on releases like "Another Lesson In Violence" (1997) and "Shovel Headed Tour Machine" (2010), ensuring that the band's raw energy translates from the studio to the stage.
