Yaffa Yarkoni
Yaffa Yarkoni was a legendary Israeli singer, often referred to as the "War Singer" due to her performances for Israeli troops during times of conflict. Born in 1925, she began her career as a dancer and singer in Tel Aviv nightclubs before becoming one of Israel's most beloved performers. Yarkoni was known for her powerful voice and emotive performances of patriotic songs, as well as traditional and modern Hebrew music. She recorded numerous albums throughout her long career and was awarded the Israel Prize for Hebrew Song in 1998.
