US Army Band

The United States Army Band, also known as "Pershing's Own", is a premier ensemble of the United States Army. Founded in 1922, the band was named after General John J. Pershing, who was the Army Chief of Staff at that time. As the Army's premier musical organization, the US Army Band provides musical support to the leadership of the United States, and connects the Army with the American people through music. The ensemble is based at Fort Myer, Virginia, and its musicians are all highly trained professionals – serving in the military, but also holding degrees from prestigious music schools and conservatories.

The group's mission is to perform for presidential, ceremonial, and diplomatic events in addition to its public concerts which offer a variety of musical selections, ranging from classical to popular music genres. Their recent releases, such as "Songs About The United States Of America" and "The Flag Flies High," showcase the band's patriotism and skill in stirring the hearts of listeners with inspirational music that honors the nation's heritage and values. Other albums like "The Best of Mozart: Classic Masterpieces" and "Dances Around The World" highlight the band's versatility and virtuosity in classical and international music genres. Through their music, the US Army Band exemplifies the excellence and discipline of the United States Army to audiences worldwide.
