TORVA is an indie-rock band from London, formed by friends who met while studying classical music at the Royal College of Music in 2015. The band consists of Sam Hall on vocals, guitar, and keys, Will Riby on drums and vocals, and Jack Tustin on bass and vocals. Influenced by bands like Bombay Bicycle Club, The 1975, and Kings of Leon, TORVA self-produces and releases their music, with their debut EP, "Places I’ve Never Been," receiving notable attention. This EP was even made 'Record of the Week' on BBC Introducing In Kent in August 2016. Their music often explores themes through emotive and upbeat indie-rock, as seen in their recent releases like "Depressed," "Shame," and "Sand In My Hair."
One of their notable music videos is for the song "Places I’ve Never Been," which features a colorful set made entirely from cardboard. The band's approach to music is marked by a DIY ethos, building their own recording studio to ensure creative control over their work.
