He began his musical journey at a young age, singing in churches before joining neighborhood music groups with his parents' encouragement. Paterne Maestro officially launched his career in 2016 while still a student, starting with several singles that laid the groundwork for his unique style, which blends rap with folklore, often referred to as "rap folklorique." His music often explores themes deeply rooted in Congolese cultural heritage and social awareness.

Paterne Maestro is well-known for his engaging freestyle interactions, which have helped him connect closely with his audience and increase his visibility on digital platforms. His discography includes popular tracks like "Na Bomi Moto," "Oko Lela Epa Ya Nani" (feat. MC Baba), and "Peleron" (feat. Suspect 95).
