Indonesian composer and pianist Eunike Tanzil, born in 1998 on the island of Sumatra, began learning piano at the age of five. She went on to pursue her musical education in the United States, earning degrees from the prestigious Berklee College of Music and The Juilliard School on full scholarships. Influenced early on by film composers like John Williams, she has developed a unique voice blending classical, jazz, and traditional Indonesian music, drawing on diverse inspirations such as gamelan and jazzy harmonies. Eunike's versatile compositions have been performed by acclaimed orchestras worldwide including the Boston Symphony and Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Known for her strong storytelling through music, Eunike released her debut album *The First of Everything* in 2025 on Deutsche Grammophon. The album captures personal milestones with rich orchestral arrangements recorded with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under conductor Anna Handler. Beyond the concert hall, she actively collaborates with artists like Laufey, TwoSet Violin, and Arturo Sandoval, while composing for film and media projects such as *Asian Persuasion*. Through her work, she aims to bring orchestral music to broad audiences and inspire creativity across genres.
