Andy Rourke is a British musician, best known as the bassist of the iconic post-punk band The Smiths. Born on January 17, 1964, in Manchester, England, Rourke was a key member of the band's original lineup. During his time with The Smiths, he played on many of their most influential albums, including 'The Smiths', 'Meat is Murder', and 'The Queen is Dead'.
