Gøggs

Gøggs is an explosive garage punk band born from the collective talents of major figures in the punk and garage rock scenes. The group was formed in the mid-2010s and includes Ty Segall, a prolific and highly revered figure in the garage rock revival, Chris Shaw of the Memphis punk band Ex-Cult, and Charles Moothart, who is known for his work with Fuzz and Ty Segall's backing band. Together, they create a sound that is raw, visceral, and uninhibited, bringing together their various backgrounds to forge a gritty and intense sonic experience.

Their debut self-titled album "Gøggs" arrived in 2016, introducing listeners to their frenzied, lo-fi aesthetic and setting a high bar for contemporary garage punk. Tracks like "She Got Harder," which was released the year prior, provided an early glimpse into the band's relentless energy and commitment to a raw, DIY ethos. They followed up with their sophomore effort, "Pre Strike Sweep," in 2018. This release saw the group refining their sound without losing any of the aggressive edge that defines their music. With a formidable reputation for both their recordings and high-octane live shows, Gøggs has established themselves as a formidable force in the underground rock scene.
