Downliners Sect

Downliners Sect is a British psychedelic rock band formed in London in 1964. The band's original lineup consisted of Don Craine (vocals, guitar), Keith Grant (guitar), Tony Hill (bass), and Ray Owen (drums). Downliners Sect released their debut album, "The Sect", in 1966, which was followed by "The Sect II" in 1967. The band's music is characterized by its fuzzed-out guitars, driving rhythms, and psychedelic lyrics. Downliners Sect has been cited as an influence on many later psychedelic rock bands, including The Doors and The Velvet Underground.
