Joseph Achron (1886–1943) was a Russian-born Jewish composer and violinist known for blending classical music with Jewish folk traditions. A child prodigy on the violin, he studied at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory and went on to perform and compose extensively. His music often explored Jewish themes, and he was associated with the Society for Jewish Folk Music. His works include violin pieces like "Hebrew Melody" and larger orchestral compositions. Later in his career, Achron moved to the United States, where he continued composing until his passing in 1943.
