Ludwig Thuille (1861–1907) was a German composer, pianist, and teacher, best known for his chamber music and songs. A key figure in the Munich music scene of his time, he was a close associate of Richard Strauss and played a significant role in developing late Romantic styles. His works include the well-regarded *Sextet in B-flat Major, Op. 6* and numerous art songs, showcasing his lyrical and sophisticated compositional approach. In addition to composing, Thuille was a highly respected educator, teaching at the Munich Academy of Music and influencing a generation of musicians.
