Najib Amhali

Najib Amhali is a Moroccan-born Dutch stand-up comedian and actor, known for his quick wit and blending humor with sincere storytelling. Born Najim Amhali on April 4, 1971, in Nador, Morocco, he grew up in the Netherlands and has been active in comedy since the late 1980s. Najib gained recognition winning the Pall Mall Export Prize in 1993 with Comedytrain and later starred in various Dutch films and TV shows, including the movie *Jezus is een Palestijn* and the series *Najib en Julia*. He is especially celebrated for his comedy shows, such as his recent full-length program *Waar Was Ik?*.

Besides his comedy and acting career, Najib is also a professional drummer and often incorporates music into his performances, adding a unique dynamic to his shows. He has a special connection with both the Dutch and Moroccan communities, frequently exploring cultural themes in his work. In 2006, he hosted a charity show about the FIFA World Cup, underlining his engagement beyond entertainment. His humor and lively anecdotes continue to charm audiences, making him one of the Netherlands' beloved comedians with a career spanning over three decades.
