The Hazelnuts

The Hazelnuts, often referred to as "האחיות לוז" in Hebrew, are a remarkable vocal trio from Israel, known for their captivating blend of close harmony singing and vintage vibes. Founded by Shira Z. Carmel and Yifeat Ziv, along with Anat Moshkovski, the group is deeply inspired by American close-harmony-singing trios from the 1930s. Their performances are accompanied by a vintage band featuring instruments like the acoustic guitar, double bass, and trumpet, which transport audiences to the classic era of New Orleans jazz. The Hazelnuts are celebrated for their unique interpretations of original songs and arrangements of modern hits, all written and arranged by the trio themselves.

The Hazelnuts have built a reputation as a standout in the Israeli music scene, performing at numerous festivals and prominent venues globally, including the Marseille Jazz des Cinqs Continents Festival, the Tel Aviv Jazz Festival, and the Boswell Sisters tribute festival in New Orleans.
