The Eddie Higgins Trio

The Eddie Higgins Trio was led by American jazz pianist Eddie Higgins, known for his elegant, lyrical playing style and love of jazz standards. A veteran of the Chicago jazz scene in the 1950s and '60s, Higgins brought a refined, melodic sensibility to every performance, often blending effortlessly with his bassists and drummers to create nuanced, intimate interpretations of classic tunes. After relocating to Florida, he continued recording prolifically into the 2000s, becoming especially popular in Japan due to his tasteful arrangements and romantic touch.
