Austin Lyons, better known as Superblue (also spelled Super Blue), is a legendary Trinidadian soca musician and calypsonian. Born on May 25, 1956 in Point Fortin, Trinidad, Superblue rose to fame in 1980 with his hit song "Soca Baptist". He's renowned for his energetic performances and has won the Trinidad Carnival Road March title multiple times. Superblue is credited as a pioneer of the "jump and wave" style in soca music.
Throughout his career, Superblue has been a dominant force in Trinidad's music scene, winning numerous titles and accolades. He's known for his blue costumes and daring stage antics. His daughter, Fay-Ann Lyons, has followed in his footsteps as a successful soca artist.
