Woe, Is Me

Woe, Is Me was an American metalcore band hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, renowned for their spirited blend of melodic hooks and heavy breakdowns, with synth elements infusing their sound. Formed in 2009, the band came onto the scene with a significant impact thanks to their debut album, "Number[s]," released in 2010 through Velocity and Rise Records. The record set the stage for their signature style, balancing aggression with melody, and featured re-released tracks in its Deluxe Edition, which expanded on their initial success.

Their musical journey continued with the release of "Genesi[s]" in 2012, an album that saw the band pushing their sonic boundaries while dealing with lineup changes that came to define much of Woe, Is Me's career. Despite a relatively short tenure in the music industry, they managed to leave a lasting impression with their EP "American Dream" in 2013, which showcased further evolution in their sound before their eventual disbandment. Over their active years, Woe, Is Me cultivated a dedicated fanbase with powerful singles like "fame>demise" and "Vengeance," and remained a noteworthy name in the metalcore genre even after parting ways, significantly contributing to the early 2010s post-hardcore soundscape.
