The Fresh Preps

The Fresh Preps are an indie rock band from Mililani, Hawaii, formed in 2013. The group consists of songwriters/producers Joshua Stephens and Daniel Lyons. They are known for their high-energy performances and polished music style, often drawing comparisons to bands like Twentyone Pilots and Relient K. One of their notable achievements includes winning the 2016 Hard Rock Café Honolulu battle of the bands. Their music has been well-received, with single releases such as "Zombie Song," which consistently played on local radio during Halloween for two years. In 2017, their album "We Are Alive" was nominated for 'Best Alternative Album' at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. The Fresh Preps have shared the stage with artists like Kina Grannis and McKay Kim, and are active in the Hawaii music scene.

Some of their recent and notable releases include "Spotlight," "Do We Let Go (Waiting)," "So Damn Wrong," "We Are Alive," "The Way It Should Be," and "Zombie Song - Single," alongside "Don't Ask Me Why". Their energetic live performances and catchy compositions have made them a staple in local venues across Oahu, including frequent gigs in Waikiki.
