Pacific Soul

Pacific Soul is a four-piece female Polynesian pop band formed in Auckland, New Zealand in 2001. The group was created and produced by Sam Tu'uga of Jamoa Jam, and its original members include Sara-Jane Auva'a, Julie Ta'ale, Sharleen Leaso, and Maopa Lomavita. Their music blends dance, pop, traditional sounds, and soulful R&B, showcasing a unique cultural fusion. Pacific Soul has released two albums: their self-titled debut in 2003, which won Best Pacific Island Album at the NZ Music Awards, and "The Collaboration" in 2008. The band has toured extensively across New Zealand, Australia, parts of the Pacific, and the United States.

Pacific Soul's music reflects their Polynesian heritage while embracing contemporary styles, making them a notable figure in the Pacific music scene. Their performances and releases have been well-received, contributing to the visibility of Pacific Island music globally.
