Los Hermanos is a Brazilian rock band from Rio de Janeiro, which formed in 1997 by Marcelo Camelo (vocals, guitar), Rodrigo Amarante (guitar, percussion, vocals), Rodrigo Barba (drums), and Bruno Medina (keyboards). The band's music seamlessly blends elements of rock, ska, and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), and they quickly gained recognition in the Brazilian music scene with their distinctive sound that mixes emotional lyrics with eclectic musical styles.
The band's self-titled debut album "Los Hermanos" surfaced in 1999, followed by "Bloco Do Eu Sozinho" in 2001, "Ventura" in 2003, and "4" in 2005 – albums that marked a significant sonic evolution from their initial ska-heavy influence to a more mature and introspective approach. Despite going on hiatus in 2007, Los Hermanos remains a beloved entity in Brazil with periodic reunion tours culminating in live recordings, such as "Los Hermanos Na Fundição Progresso - 09 De Junho De 2007," while their 2019 reunion tour was captured in the live album "Los Hermanos 2019 (Ao Vivo)." The band's legacy continues to impact the Brazilian music industry profoundly, and they are often cited as a major influence by newer generations of Brazilian artists.
