Johann Baptist Cramer

Johann Baptist Cramer (1771–1858) was a German-born British pianist, composer, and music publisher, widely regarded as one of the leading pianists of his time. Renowned for his exceptional technique and expressive playing, he was a favorite of Beethoven and had a significant influence on piano pedagogy. His best-known works include his extensive set of **Études**, which are still used for piano training today. Beyond performing and composing, Cramer also co-founded a successful music publishing business in London.
