Tommy Baldu

Tommy Baldu is a highly respected German drummer and producer born in Karlsruhe in 1966. Since starting his professional music career in 1990, he has worked with an impressive array of artists across genres including Edo Zanki, Emiliana Torrini, Xavier Naidoo, and the Söhne Mannheims. Known for his dynamic yet sensitive drumming, Baldu favors vintage instruments and an innovative, authentic sound aesthetic that balances raw and refined elements. He is a driving force behind the collective Das Vereinsheim, promoting creative dialogue among musicians in southern Germany, and has been involved in numerous collaborative projects, notably with guitarist Daniel Stelter and clarinettist David Orlowsky on albums such as "Petrichor".
