Paul Armin Edelmann is an Austrian baritone celebrated for his rich, expressive voice and deep connection to German Romantic repertoire. Born into a musical family (his father was acclaimed tenor Kurt Equiluz), Edelmann carved his own path as a versatile opera singer and lieder specialist, gracing stages like the Vienna State Opera and Leipzig’s Gewandhaus. His recent releases showcase his knack for storytelling through song, whether in Brahms’ tender *Magelone-Lieder*, Schumann’s introspective lieder, or live performances of rarities like Weber’s *Peter Schmoll*. A champion of lesser-known gems, he’s equally at home in orchestral songs by Reger or Haydn’s operatic showpieces. When not performing, Edelmann shares his passion through teaching, blending old-school Viennese tradition with a warm, approachable vibe.
