Chris Donnelly

Chris Donnelly is a multifaceted musician known for his work as a jazz pianist and composer. He is an instructor at the University of Toronto and an associate composer at the Canadian Music Centre. Donnelly's music spans genres like jazz, ragtime, stride, gospel, improvisation, original compositions, and classical music. A notable aspect of his career includes being a member of the contemporary jazz trio Myriad3, known for their original music exploring improvisation and contemporary composition. One of his notable albums is "Solo," released in 2008, which earned him nominations for both Juno and National Jazz Awards. Another significant work is "Metamorphosis," released in 2011, a sprawling musical piece inspired by MC Escher's artwork.
