Burst

Burst, a band that expertly harnesses the turbulent forces of progressive metal and post-hardcore, hails from Kristinehamn, Sweden. Formed in 1993, the quintet has since carved a unique niche within the extreme music scene. Over the years, they gained momentum and uncapped potential, culminating in the revered albums that marked the height of their creativity and complexity. Burst's musical journey is marked by growth and exploration, with influences ranging from sludge, heavy metal, and experimental rock, all melded into their own distinctive concoction of sound.

Among their most acclaimed works is "Origo" (2005), considered a transformative release that saw them refine their sound and gain a wider appeal. However, it was with "Lazarus Bird" (2008), their final full-length album, that Burst delivered their magnum opus—a tour de force showcasing their technical prowess and emotional depth. Throughout their career, the band's discography including notable releases such as "Prey on Life" (2003), "Two-Faced" (1998), and "Shadowcaster" (1996), demonstrated a relentless pursuit of pushing boundaries. Even though Burst disbanded in 2009, their legacy continues to inspire a dedicated fan base and musicians alike with their rich compositions that capture a poignant sense of beauty amidst relentless intensity.
