High Tension Wires

High Tension Wires is an American punk rock band that emerged from the vibrant Texas music scene. Formed in 2005, the band is a supergroup of sorts, featuring members from well-established acts within the punk and alternative genres. Its lineup consists of Mike Wiebe from the Riverboat Gamblers on vocals, Marked Men members Mark Ryan on guitar and vocals, and Mike Throneberry on drums, with Chris Pulliam of The Reds handling bass duties.

The band has made a significant mark on the punk rock landscape with their energetic, hook-laden tunes that merge the rawness of garage rock with the speed and attitude of punk. With releases like "Send a Message" (2005), "Midnight Cashier" (2007), and "Welcome New Machine" (2011), High Tension Wires offers a tight, thrilling punk sound that resonates with the genre's fans. Despite not occupying the mainstream limelight, High Tension Wires has cultivated a dedicated following, which appreciates their no-frills approach to music and their ability to fiercely deliver succinct, catchy, and abrasive rock songs.
