The Beths

The Beths, an indie-pop band hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, have quickly carved out a space for themselves within the music scene with their infectious blend of upbeat tunes and thoughtful lyricism. Formed in 2015, the group consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Elizabeth Stokes, guitarist Jonathan Pearce, bassist Benjamin Sinclair, and drummer Tristan Deck. Their music is characterized by its energetic guitar riffs, catchy melodies, and Stokes' introspective songwriting, all of which are underpinned by the close-knit chemistry of the band members, who met during their university days studying jazz.

The band's debut EP, "Warm Blood," arrived in 2016 and showcased their knack for hook-laden tracks. The Beths’ first full-length album, "Future Me Hates Me" (2018), was met with critical acclaim for its blend of power-pop and deeply personal lyrics, earning them a larger international following. The release of "Jump Rope Gazers" in 2020 solidified their reputation as one of the most compelling indie bands of their time, offering a slightly more introspective take on their established sound. Continuing to build their discography with confident strides, The Beths released "Expert In A Dying Field" in 2022, further honing their sound and proving their ability to create emotionally resonant music that resonates with a growing audience worldwide. Their live album, "Auckland, New Zealand, 2020," captures the raw energy and camaraderie of their performances, a testament to their connection with fans both on and off the stage.
