Chandler James is a Nashville recording artist with roots in North Carolina. Born and raised in what he calls the "original Nashville" in eastern North Carolina, Chandler developed a passion for music early on. He was inspired by diverse genres, including Motown, and enjoyed karaoke sessions. His journey into music began when he decided to drop AP Psychology for guitar in high school. After honing his skills in local bars and shows, he recorded his first EP at the legendary Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. This experience solidified his commitment to music, leading him to move to Tennessee. Chandler is also known for being the first-ever Got to BE NC Ag Star, a role that allows him to tour North Carolina, promoting local agriculture and products through his music.
Chandler James draws inspiration from artists like Chris Stapleton and Brent Cobb, reflecting a blend of country and soulful influences in his work. He continues to release new music and perform regularly in Nashville, often at venues on Broadway and in local writers' rounds.
