The Scissors

The Scissors are a punk rock band from Chicago, formed in 2002 by Darren Vorel and Dave Schneider. The band actively performed in the Chicagoland area from 2002 to early 2004, supporting their first full-length album, *Tijeras*. Over the years, The Scissors released several albums, including *Viva*, *You Can Make It Dangerous*, and *Over Your Dead Body*, which was described as their best work. *Over Your Dead Body*, released in 2012, featured Yvonne Szumski as the main singer and guitarist, showcasing her versatile vocal range. The band decided to part ways in 2013 after 11 years of music, citing personal sacrifices and a desire to give the band a well-deserved break.

The Scissors' music career was marked by a dedicated fan base and a consistent effort to refine their sound. Despite their decision to disband, their legacy remains in the punk rock scene of Chicago, with their albums continuing to reflect their energetic and passionate approach to music.
