Slim Jxmmi

Slim Jxmmi, born Aaquil Iben Shamon Brown on December 29, 1991, in Whittier, California, is one half of the influential Southern hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd, alongside his brother Swae Lee. Razor-sharp in lyrical prowess and known for his high-energy performances, Slim Jxmmi has played a critical role in shaping the duo's sound and has helped push the boundaries of contemporary hip-hop and trap music. Rae Sremmurd exploded onto the scene in 2014 with their platinum-certified hit "No Flex Zone," and since then, Slim Jxmmi has continued to make his mark both as part of the duo and as a solo artist.

In addition to his work with Rae Sremmurd, Slim Jxmmi has ventured into solo projects that showcase his versatility and depth as an artist. With tracks like "Peep Show" and "Kilo," Jxmmi embraces a raw, gritty flow that contrasts yet complements the more melodic style of his brother. His releases such as "B OK" and "Fine Wine & Hennessy" reveal a knack for crafting tracks that blend trap beats with introspective lyrics, demonstrating his growth as an artist. Notably, the collaborative album "SR3MM," released with Swae Lee, features a disc for each brother, allowing Slim Jxmmi to shine independently while maintaining the iconic Rae Sremmurd energy. Slim Jxmmi’s trajectory in the music industry paints him as not just a collaborator in a successful duo but as a formidable solo artist with a unique voice in rap and hip-hop.
