Paula Morelenbaum
Paula Morelenbaum is a Brazilian singer best known for her work in bossa nova and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira). She gained international recognition as a member of the group Quarteto Jobim Morelenbaum, alongside her husband Jaques Morelenbaum and Antonio Carlos Jobim's son, Paulo Jobim. A former member of Jobim's touring band, Paula's warm, elegant voice has become synonymous with refined interpretations of Brazilian classics. She has collaborated with numerous prominent musicians and has a solo career that highlights her smooth blend of traditional Brazilian sounds with contemporary jazz influences.
In addition to her solo work, Paula Morelenbaum has been part of the Bossarenova Trio, mixing bossa nova with touches of European jazz, and she’s known for revitalizing the bossa nova tradition with a modern twist. Her recordings often pay tribute to the works of Jobim and other icons of Brazilian music, but always with her own unique charm and vocal finesse.
