The Pigeon Detectives

The Pigeon Detectives are an English indie rock band hailing from Rothwell, Leeds, who burst onto the music scene in the mid-2000s as part of the post-punk revival that swept through the UK. Formed in 2004, the band quickly established themselves with their energetic gigs and catchy, guitar-driven anthems. They made their mark with the critically-acclaimed debut album "Wait for Me" in 2007, which included hits such as "I Found Out" and "This is an Emergency," cementing their place in the indie rock landscape.

With a reputation for their raucous live performances, The Pigeon Detectives followed their debut with the album "Emergency" in 2008, solidifying their standing as indie rock staples. The band's lineup, consisting of Matt Bowman on vocals, Oliver Main and Ryan Wilson on guitars, Dave Best on bass, and Jimmi Naylor on drums, has been consistent throughout their career. Over the years, they've released several albums and maintained a steady presence in the scene, adapting their sound whilst preserving the raw energy that originally endeared them to fans. Celebrating the 15th anniversary of their seminal debut, the release of "Emergency (15 Year Anniversary Version)" demonstrates the band's lasting influence and the enduring appeal of their passionate, guitar-led tunes.
