Metaphysics

Metaphysics is the stage name of Herbert Schwamborn, a Zimbabwean-born film and music producer and one of Africa's most prominent MCs. Born on December 8, 1973, in Mbare, Harare, Zimbabwe, to a German father and Zimbabwean mother, he blends his diverse cultural background into his music. He is well known for being part of the multi-platinum-selling German band Söhne Mannheims and is celebrated for his pioneering role in Zimbabwe's hip hop scene. Beyond music, he has made significant contributions as a film producer, showcasing his versatile creative talents.

With a career spanning decades, Metaphysics embodies a fusion of hip hop, reggae, and Afrobeat influences, crafting a distinctive sound that resonates across continents. His recent works include tracks like “Nessuno,” “Golden Despite (Remastered 2024),” and “Rock v.s. Hip Hop,” highlighting his ongoing relevance and adaptability in today’s music landscape.
