Hok-Key

Hok-Key is a melodic heavy metal band from Belarus, formed in 1994. Initially, they began as a comedy metal group, but over time, they evolved into a more serious and philosophical metal band, incorporating folk and symphonic elements into their music. The band is known for using the endangered Belarusian language in some of their lyrics, adding a unique cultural layer to their work. Hok-Key has released multiple albums, including five full-length ones, and has toured extensively in Europe, performing in countries such as Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy.

The band's lineup includes Jaroslav Sapunoff on guitar and keyboards, Alexander Volchek on bass, Oleg Kansov on drums, and Irina Sapunova on violin. Their musical approach combines modern electronics with authentic folk instruments, reflecting a blend of contemporary and traditional influences. Hok-Key's recent releases have showcased their continued evolution in the metal scene.
