Jeromes Dream emerged from the late 90s post-hardcore scene in Connecticut, quickly establishing themselves as an influential force with their intense blend of screamo and experimental hardcore. Often characterized by their visceral live performances and the unique approach of their then-vocalist Jeff Smith, who screamed without a microphone, the band cultivated a mystique and a passionate following before disbanding in 2001 after releasing two LPs and several splits.
After hiatus, Jeromes Dream rekindled their raw, emotive ferocity over a decade later, returning with an eponymous LP in 2019 that showcased a matured sound while still embodying the abrasive energy of their early works. The band's most recent releases, including "Reminders to Parallel" and the "Jeromes Dream on Audiotree Live" session, continue to expand their sonic palette while remaining true to the explosive and cathartic nature that has long defined their music. In weaving together the threads of their influential past with novel textures and reflective themes, Jeromes Dream remains a dynamic and resonant voice within the post-hardcore and screamo landscapes.
