Viviana Sofronitsky is a prominent classical pianist known for her mastery of historical performance on period instruments. Born into a musical family—her father was the renowned Russian-American pianist Vladimir Sofronitsky—Viviana has carved out a niche for herself as an expert interpreter of works on the fortepiano, the predecessor to the modern piano. Having received her initial musical education in Moscow, Sofronitsky further honed her skills in Europe and North America, studying at prestigious institutions such as the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, and the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg.
